Prologue

Throughout the years of our world's existence, we have been told many tales of mythical legendary creatures. Some of these creatures were spawned from the mental views of a fantastic utopia. Others seemed to originate from the terrifying depths of the underworld. Some of these legends were feared; others respected and sometimes even worshipped. All around the world different legends had been originated from the lore of days long ago. But it's uncertain whether or not such creatures actually exist.

But somewhere they do.

Welcome to Utopia, a planet that exists in a different dimension in the vast multiverse. Each dimension somewhat copies the blueprints of the first ever dimension--one which has not been found or identified. In this other dimension, Utopia is mainly based off of our Earth. There are no such creatures as humans in existence there. Rather, many other mammals have gained the human-like body structure and had created the great civilization that it is today. Romance seems twisted to us when we compare the species of Utopia. It isn't uncommon to find a dog dating a cat, a rabbit dating a wolf, or a lion dating a lamb. They are all structured the same way. They all speak the American English, though some parts of the world have a few cultural accents (such as that of England), so it is very easy for them to communicate with each other.

Besides the numerous populations of cats, dogs, foxes, wolves, and other normal creatures, many of the legendary creatures we speak in ancient lore are actually living in Utopia. There are some differences in the legends' classifications and behaviors when compared to the stories of our world, but much of what we have written does seem to apply to the real-life creatures in Utopia.

Despite the planet's different name and civilization, much of the landforms are exactly the same. Even many of the geographical names are alike. There is an America, a Japan, and an England…all of the continents and countries are named exactly like our Earth's. However, some cities do not appear on our maps that are shown in theirs.

One such city is Zaibatsu. It is near the city of Atlanta in Georgia. Zaibatsu is the home of Sketch Tucker, a dog with a creative mind, a childish attitude, and blue fur. His blue fur is questioned by many people, asking if his fur is actually blue in color and not dyed to be so. Sketch continually states that his father also had blue fur, though he also admits that he isn't really certain how his family got blue fur or when it started in his family line. Nevertheless, Sketch tries to live a normal life, working in a convenience store as a stock boy.

He has gained much interest in Japan and their culture, and he looks for any information on Japan that catches his eye. Their technology is definitely high on his interest list, along with their video games, their art style, and their legends. He knows little about the legendary creatures of Japan, and it seems hard for him to find any information since Japan does not wish to upset them. The Japanese fear that some of the creatures may take their revenge. With this in mind, Sketch has gained a burning desire to learn of the Japanese legends.

Little does he know that he will get to know them more than he anticipates…
